Having WIFI issue sorry for the slow blogging.
Made it to Stagecoach and Carson City area of Nevada
The photos loaded in reverse order, I hope you enjoy.
We have one more Day here in Nevada then we will take a 3 to 4 day trip north thru Oregon, Washington on our way to North Idaho.
This view is in the middle of the Carson Valley, also known as Douglas country where I grew up... I love this area. at the top of the sierra's is Lake Tahoe. to the north is Carson City and Reno. I grew up in this area when the west was still not so much wild but not so tame either. The area was all ranches and a few small casino's. There was no internet or cell phone and we had to get up to change the channels, we had three to choose from. We swam in the rivers and creeks, walk everywhere. We were happy adventurous kids that enjoyed life.

This is the Carson River the area had so much snow and rain that all the rivers have breached their banks.

There is still a lot of old home steads all over the valley.
