No so Spooky Craft project!

I know everyone is waiting for Halloween... except me!!  I am so waiting for the season to start call me weird but I work in retail get beat down this time of year by people who travel hundreds of miles to be in the sun, and beat up Walmart workers... I know they will be here for 5 months and that covers all the Happy Holidays.. So I make Happy Holidays Crafts to make it better... Her is one I have been working on now I absolutely love this one...

It is a paper wipes box from work I cut it in half decoupage it all over with white tissue paper, then gesso'd over the paper to give it more depth. Then it was all about having fun with it....

Here is my creation.. I will continue to build this as I find things I want to add.

Good Morning World!! 

I am sitting here with my first cup of coffee not wanting to work today... I do hate split days off!!  But I also have something fun to share with you all.. A blast from the past.

Do you have one of these??? Yep that bag of parts is part from Christmas past????

Well them you can make some fun Tags the double as ornaments to share... I use them as tags and even on my tree, I swap them also.. I love these they are simple, easy to make and use up all those scraps...

First you have to cut the pieces which include   one - 3" square,  one - 2 1/4 square and  two - 1 3/4 x 3/4" rectangle.

Next distress and ink the edges of the rectangles with I have use a finger nail file, distresser tool, scissors and even a sanding block pictured here..after you rough up the edges ink them lightly.

you then layer them adhere the with a good adhesive... a wet quick dry glue works well... hint to much glue will make them to distort when dry. Now Decorate add a hanger and you have a small but beautiful work of art you can use as a tag that doubles as an ornament. 

after all your pieces are adhered decorate as you wish..

Oh Good Morning or should I say good afternoon.. I have this friend Her Name is Connie Mercer who has an amazing Blog Crafty Goodness  I have followed her for years.. She is amazing and if you don't believe me just click ----> HERE  to see for yourself. 

I went Junkin' and found some treasures to alter.. I am so excited to share them.

 

  

This table cloth is amazing it fits my table. :)

I have to show off some junk or trash what ever you call it.. I have worked for a large retailer for almost 5 yrs and have drug home so much "trash" over the years.. My husband call me crazy, but then he is amazed when I bring some creation out of my evil scrapbooking lab... My happiest moment to date is when I finished a dress form I made out of a large cardboard tube from a plastic wrap roll.

To make this story short it has antique lace, parts off an old wedding dress, a wooded wheel, candle cup some broken jewelry, flowers and a lot of love. I hope you love her.

Wow Been a while... I know I am a BAD blogger... 

I have been working on some fun but easy projects this summer and trying to get my craft room organized... The craft room is coming together and I hope soon to get it finished and cleaned. I went light on the swaps for August so I have time to organize my room.... Easier said than done, I have this thing I dubbed The "DCD" (dangerous crafting dosorder)  it is a combination of OCD and ADHD.  You see I start to clean because the mess drives me nuts then I find a few thing laying around that would make a good pin cushion, lace doll or ATC.... and it starts all over again... instead of clean it look like a bomb went off and all the supplies landed on my table....ARRRGGG!!  But all is not lost I end up making something real Cool!!  LOL!!!  This is a vicious cycle...  Here are a few projects I have been working on ..

A Book I am making for a friend. Found the Tutorial on youtube A Channel Named Stamping T Check it out the only difference is I use heavy book board and make my book very ridged.

Just a wall hanging for my room.. almost finished

Cool Tim Holtz Die I tried this is for My friends Birthday.. 

A pin cushion I make out of empty sticker rolls from the deli I work at, some vintage lace and WALA!! instant pin cushion.

Other than the small projects I am cleaning Here is one of a set of cabinets I bought at the good will. It was a  SCORE!! 14.99 each.  Happy is me.. and yes They are full already.

OK back to cleaning.... is my nose growing...LOL!!

Another Day of Sunshine and Friends

Good Morning World!!

Yes I am still loving Living in the valley of the Sun it is getting hotter everyday and the best is yet to come.

I have in the last few months joined a wonderful group of ladies who desire to create equals if not surpasses mine.. They are all amazing artist and it is very challenging to compare my work to theirs. But I am loving every moment and I have learned so much from them. I thank all my Skype sisters for allowing me to be a part of who they are and to learn from them.

This last Month I joined in a swap with these wonderful ladies and I will be challenged to the limit but I am going to enjoy this. The swap has 10 embellishment we must make and swap with our partner. My partner is Lele as we call her also known for her doodad flowers and wonderful laces and embellishments that she sells here at her Shabbylishious Etsy Shop.



Before I leave I will share something I made for my Friend Dee (AKA Craft Wifey). Dee sent me a wondwerful box of crafty Goodness for christmas it had a large paper mache dress form and a wedding dress.. So I created this for her, I made a flower for the extra fabric in the dress and added a vintage broach to bling it up!

A new day to play... been having fun..

Yes I have had fun... I have been waiting to try some thing new and I did... altered food jars.. yep I have used them to put my scrappy things in for years so now it is time to make the pretty. So the last two days I have made two jars here they are hope you like them!!

Hello again my friends. It is yet another sunny day in Arizona.. I sure love being warm.

I have been working on my craft space and getting ready to go to my oldest daughters wedding in June.

I have not done to many crafty projects because I am not sure how my room will be set up when all is done. We are 90% done with the closet and as soon as I figure out the shelves and get a base for my paper rack I will be ready to set this room up properly.

I do have to admit as I slowly open box's and find stuff it is a little like Christmas, The one I have not found that I so badly need to locate is my cropodile and the Big bite...  I will take some pictures and post my mess as it progresses as soon as I find my camera charger.... arrgg..
